The iPhone 15 is expected to ditch the Lightning port in favor of USB-C iphone 15 as the standard. The change is a result of new EU standards for charging.

Launching Date

In a report from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to unveil the iPhone 15 on either September 13 or 12 and launch it one week later. It’s consistent with the previous iPhone updates and follows the normal schedule for when the new iPhones arrive.

Some significant changes are planned, including a different colors and better camera systems for Pro models. Some rumors have suggested that the ‘Pro Max’ model may get a periscopic camera for six times zoom.

The models that are ‘Pro’ are likely to also keep their 120 Hz refresh rate that was introduced with the iPhone 13 Pro. Moreover, the ‘Pro Max’ model could have one physical button equipped with haptic feedback, which can perform multiple functions like the ability to mute, accessibility such as flashlight activation, focus mode, as well as opening apps. Additionally, it can function as a power button, which will enable fast charging. Note that the iPhone 15 will no longer have support for its Lightning connector, which will be replaced with an USB-C connectivity.

Technology Update

Certain notable technological updates will be coming to the iPhone 15. As per rumors, Pro or Max/Ultra model will shift to Lightning on USB-C to the standard ports. The button is programmable and will be able to perform different tasks, such as activating accessibility features, changing the sound setting, activating the camera app and activating the flashlight as well as activating the concentration mode and operating shortcuts. Price
